WHAT IS TAILS OF THE WORLD?

Tails of the World is an international photography book, published annually, celebrating dogs from around the globe. Featuring stunning portraits by professional pet photographers, each edition showcases local dogs in their hometowns - from bustling cities to breathtaking landscapes.

All proceeds from the photo session fees and book sales are donated to charity, and to date, the project has raised over $170,000 for pet rescue.

Founded by Caitlin J. McColl, this collaborative project brings photographers together with a shared mission: to make a difference for pets in need and to spread joy through beautiful photography and heartwarming stories.

Terri J Photography has been selected as an official 2025 photographer for Tails of the World.

For 2025, I will be representing Richmond Hill and Markham with photoshoots taking place in three awesome locations. BUT of course you can join us from anywhere - all Toronto and GTA pets are invited!

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

Join the Tails of the World Movement

Sessions will take place during April, May and June 2025

  • With your $100 session fee donated to Just Paws Animal Rescue, you will receive a custom on-location photoshoot in the Richmond Hill and Markham areas and your pet will be featured in the Tails of the World Book. This beautiful book is a celebration of pets around the world,

  • You will also receive a high resolution digital photo of the same one that gets published in the book.

  • Additional photos and printed products will be available for purchase

  • Option to upgrade to a full session

THE CHARITIES

The Tails of the World project is a two part fundraiser:

  • Local Donation of the mini session fees to a local charity.

  • Donation of the book sales

LOCAL CHARITY DONATION

For the 3rd year I have partnered with Just Paws Animal Rescue, a GTA based not-for-profit, volunteer run organization as my charity of choice. Just Paws Animal Rescue works diligently to rescue animals that are in high kill shelters, abandoned, abused, or unloved. 100% of the proceeds of the session fees will be donated to Just Paws.

THE BOOK SALES

100% of the profits from the sale of the Tails of the World book will be donated to Geelong Animal Welfare Society, dedicated to the welfare of companion animals. They care for and rehome lost or relinquished pets and provide community education & services that enable responsible animal ownership.

 

With these combined efforts, our vision is to collectively support animal rescue all around the world.
